Life and Learning Beyond the Classroom

Students in the Bourns College of Engineering are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities to help enrich their college experience. Below are a few resources that can help you find the activity that is best for you.

Bourns College of Engineering Student Ambassador Program

The BCOE Ambassador Program gives current students the chance to connect with incoming students and parents and to answer their questions about the college and the university. Ambassadors frequently represent the college at outreach events. New ambassadors are recruited every fall quarter.

BCOE Clubs & Organizations

The Bourns College of Engineering has several student clubs and organizations that help students further their educational experience.

The Bourns College of Engineering Leadership Council is made up of officers from the nearly 20 student organizations.

Undergraduate Research

BCOE undergraduates benefit from many outstanding research opportunities. This real-world research experience prepares our students for a great career. Learn more about research opportunities for undergraduates at BCOE.

Career Workshops in Engineering

The UCR Career Center sponsors workshops on careers in many professions, including engineering. Visit their calendar to see a list of upcoming events.

Internships

The UCR Career Center can help you find a great internship that will help grow your list of contacts and mentors and provide the experience of different professions that  will give you the experience that you need to get a great job when you graduate.

Study Abroad

The International Education Center sponsors education abroad programs for UCR students.

The home to the UC in Sacramento, the University of California Center, Sacramento promotes excellence in public policy through academics research and public service.

UC Washington Center

The UC Washington Center's Academic Internship Program offers qualified undergraduate students from any major an exciting opportunity to combine course work, field research and work experience during a quarter's residence in our nation's capital.
