            Machine Shop    
        
The Machine Shop, located in Bourns Hall, B-Wing Room B155, specializes in design, research, development of experimental apparatus, and prototype equipment. The shop’s capabilities include the complete design and fabrication of two- and three-dimensional surfaces, including precision tooling, structural weldments, design assistance, sheet metal, and plastic structures.

            MakerSpaces and Facilities    
        
Labs, facilities, MakerSpaces, and the Machine Shop provide students with the spaces, equipment, and materials to create and innovate.

            Scholarships    
        
BCOE offers scholarships to eligible students with an established UCR GPA; newly admitted students qualify after earning a GPA at UCR. Each year, from late Winter to early Spring, eligible students are emailed invitations to apply through Scholarship Universe or the linked application in the announcement.

Through a holistic approach, the Student Success Team supports BCOE students by exploring career opportunities, providing professional development, and offering the tools and guidance needed to excel.

Kick-off your own research and take advantage of the many start-up and entrepreneurial resources available on campus. Apply knowledge from the classroom to the workspace; work alongside peers, graduate students, and faculty; and hone communication and collaboration skills to be used after graduation.

The Academic Resource Center provides peer-to-peer and professional staff mentors to empower students' intellectual development through individual and group tutoring, supplemental instruction, and workshops on time management, study skills, etc.

            California Alliance for Minority Participation in STEM (CAMP)    
        
The California Alliance for Minority Participation in STEM supports students' preparation for MS/PhD programs in STEM fields.

            Kessler Scholars Program    
        
The program provides four years of support to students who are the first in their families to attend college. The goal is to help students achieve college success through holistic support services via a cohort-based model.
